KazMorTransFlot boosted oil transportation 22% to 13.2 mln tonnes in 2024National Maritime Shipping Company KazMorTransFlot LLP (KMTF) transported 13.2 million tonnes of oil in 2024 or an increase of 22% from the previous year, which was the company’s historic record, the press service of National Company KazMunayGas JSC said in a press release on Wednesday.In 2023, KMFT transported 10.8 million tonnes of oil.The increase in oil transportation volumes followed a rise in the export of oil from the Tengiz and Karazhanbas fields across the Caspian Sea, as well as the oil export through the Black Sea. Since the launch of its tankers, KMTF has carried a total of more than 170 million tonnes of oil.Container transportation last year was also on the rise, with 51,400 TEU containers carried along the Aktau-Baku route in both directions, which accounted for 94% of the 55,000 TEU containers transported last year.National Maritime Shipping Company KazMorTransFlot LLP (KMTF) is wholly owned by National Company KazMunayGas JSC. KMTF owns and operates oil tankers, specialized multifunctional vessels, flat top barges, dry cargo ships, towboats and container ships.
