5 MAJOR DAIRY COMPANIES KEEN TO INVEST IN INDONESIA
According to the latest statement made by Agriculture Ministry, 5 international dairy companies from the US (1), Qatar (1), Brazil (2), and Vietnam (1) are keen to invest in Indonesia. The ministry has proposed the allocation of suitable lands in Central Sulawesi, Kalimantan, and Merauke to build their factories. The ministry is carefully coordinating with the related ministries/institutions to ensure that investments in the dairy processing industry can be realised with limited difficulties in Indonesia. Earlier, the ministry has also clarified that it has no plans to import 1.8 million tons of milk from Vietnam to support the Free Nutritious Meal Program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto. Instead, it has invited investors from Vietnam to build a dairy industry in the country in order to boost national milk production to meet growing domestic demand.Source: https://asiafoodbeverages.com/5-major-dairy-companies-keen-to-invest-in-indonesia/ (ICE GIACARTA)
