76 websites selling fake certificates of conformity for products blocked in Kazakhstan in 2024The Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan blocked 76 websites that advertised certification of goods without real testing, said the head of the committee, Zhanna Yesenbekova."In the past 2024, we have blocked 76 websites that advertise quick certificates. (...) They offer certificates of conformity for products - that the product is safe and has passed all tests. (...) In fact, this is a violation of the law. According to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the law of the EAEU, all products that are put into circulation must be safe," Yesenbekova said at a briefing on Thursday.She explained that the committee has also informed the largest online platforms Satu.kz and OLX about the need to tighten control over the publication of such offers.
