Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri has reported the positive development of Indonesia’s tourism sector and the increase in the number of foreign tourists and domestic tourists in the first 100 days of her term of office. The Minister explained that the positive results reflect tourists’ trust in Indonesia’s tourism policies and conditions under President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. Widiyanti also reported significant developments in the domestic tourism sector, with the number of tourist trips in the fourth quarter of 2024 reaching 263.13 million, an increase of 23.2 percent compared to the same period in the previous year. “Overall, in 2024 the number of tourist visits reached 13.74 million, an increase of around 18 percent compared to 2023. Likewise, the number of domestic tourist trips reached 1 billion and 21.56 million, an increase of 22 percent compared to 2023,” continued the Minister of Tourism.
