Air Astana to launch direct flights between Atyrau and Tbilisi from May 27Kazakhstan’s flag carrier Air Astana will launch an air service between Atyrau and Tbilisi from May 27, the airline said in a press release.The flights will be operated with Airbus aircraft three times a week: on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, according to the press release.The price of a two-way ticket will start from 113,375 tenge.In the summer, the frequency of flights from Kazakhstan to Tbilisi will increase to 15 flights a week: 9 flights from Almaty, 3 flights from Astana and 3 from Atyrau.The citizens of Kazakhstan can stay in Georgia without a visa for up to one year.Air Astana, the largest airline in Kazakhstan, held an Initial Public Offering (IPO) in February 2024, raising nearly $370 million and valuing the entire company at $847 million. According to the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), as at January 1, 2025 the major stakeholders of Air Astana were Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna (41%), British BAE Systems (16.95%) and Kazakhstan’s Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (6.51%).
