Besides explosives, the drones were carrying metal pellets. The station sustained serious damage: the roof was destroyed, the indoor switchgear and gas turbine unit were damaged, in addition to cables, a cable rack and a water tank, and two transformers, filters and the fire extinguishing system were destroyed, Transneft said.The pumping station urgently suspended operation after the incident. "The CPC management and specialists took all measures necessary to restore the oil pipeline's serviceability and to prevent negative consequences for the production process and the environment. Temporarily, oil is being transported by the Tengiz-Novorossiysk trunk pipeline by an emergency scheme, bypassing the pumping station," the statement said. (ICE ALMATY)
