Indonesia's State Electricity Company (PLN) has signed a memorandum of understanding with PT SAIC General Motors Wuling regarding the installation of home charging or private power charging for electric cars. With the memorandum of understanding, the installation of Wuling electric car owners' home charging can be completed within seven days. PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo conveyed that the cooperation with the electric vehicle company is in line with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 79 of 2023 concerning the acceleration of battery-based electric motor vehicles for road transportation. Currently, he said, PLN plans to expand partnerships with various stakeholders to accelerate the development of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. PLN signed a memorandum of understanding with Wuling through its subsidiary, PT Haleyora Power. Based on the agreement in this cooperation, Wuling is responsible for providing information to customers about the home charging installation process.
