The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) unveiled the QFC Metaverse, a groundbreaking initiative under the QFC Innovation Dome, powered by Qatar Central Bank, at the Web Summitin Doha on Monday.Building on the success of the Digital Assets Lab, the project marks a significant milestone in reshaping Qatar’s financial landscape through Web3 technology.The QFC Metaverse is designed to serve multiple purposes, offering an immersive digital platform for business engagement, collaboration, and innovation. It will provide QFC firms with a virtual space to showcase their achievements, interact with global partners, and explore business opportunities. Startups and enterprises will also have the opportunity to present their latest innovations, products, and services within this digital ecosystem.Additionally, the Metaverse will act as a hub for virtual workshops, training sessions, and expert-led discussions. Financial institutions, corporates, fintech firms, and startups will have the opportunity to connect, share insights, and drive innovation in an increasingly digitized world.Addressing a press conference to announce the launch of QFC Metaverse, QFC CEO Yousuf Mohamed Al Jaida emphasised the significance of the initiative.He said, “We see the QFC Metaverse as a gateway to the future of finance, a space where borders fade, partnerships flourish, and ideas can grow beyond what we thought possible.
