Changan Auto Southeast Asia, the automotive giant from China, will soon enter the Indonesian market through local distributor, Indomobil Group. Changan Auto or Changan Automobile Co Ltd (CCAG) is a Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer headquartered in Jiangbei, Chongqing, its origins traced back since 1862. Changan is one of the automotive giants from China that managed to record sales of more than 2.6 million units globally in 2024. Meanwhile, Indomobil currently distributes dozens of automotive brands and has more than 300 dealer networks throughout Indonesia. The signing of the distributor agreement was carried out between Andrew Nasuri, Director of PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional and Chou Qing, Vice President of Changan Auto Southeast Asia, on Friday, February 21, 2025. Changan plans further expansion in the domestic market, including exploring the possibility of local assembly of cars.
