Pertamina New and Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE), a renewable energy subholding of State energy company PT Pertamina, is currently constructing a solar panel assembly plant through cooperation with a manufacturing company from China in Kota Deltamas, Cikarang, West Java. Nelwin Adriansyah, Finance Director of Pertamina NRE, targets the solar panel assembly plant to be operational in 2026. He said the investment value for the solar panel assembly plant for the first phase was US$40 million (Rp657.6 billion). The construction of this solar assembly plant is following a directive from the Ministry of Investment and Downstream to use a Domestic Component Level (DCL) of at least 40 percent. The development of this power plant is considered a supporting factor in driving national economic growth.
