GOVT SEEKS ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FROM OPEN DUMPING LANDFILL CLOSURE

The study conducted by the Ministry of Environment (KLH) with several ministries regarding economic opportunities arising from the closure of 343 open dumping landfill sites (TPA) identified several business potentials worth Rp127.5 trillion (US$7,5 billion). Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol Nurofiq said that TPA closure and the transformation towards an integrated waste management system not only provide environmental benefits but also offer significant economic opportunities.
