Since January 2025, the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has already signed six contracts worth PLN1.5bn for the construction of more than 40 kilometres of roads and later this year the authority is expected to announce tender procedures for, inter alia, the construction of 260 kilometres of motorways and expressways as well as 134 ring-roads. As noted by the GDDKiA, by 2030 annual expenditure will amount to at least PLN20bn after in 2024 this figure reached PLN18.9bn, in 2023 – PLN17.1bn and in 2022 – PLN15.1bn. (ICE VARSAVIA)
