POLISH PMI UP IN FEBRUARY

S&P Global has reported that in February 2025 the Purchasing Managers’ Index rose to 50.6, up from 48.8 in January, marking the first expansion in business conditions since April 2022. Output and new orders grew, ending a nearly three-year downturn, while export orders declined at a slower pace. Firms continued hiring, reducing backlogs of work at a strong rate, while finished goods stocks stabilized after four months of destocking. As market conditions improved, business confidence strengthened, reaching its highest level since February 2024. Moreover, as noted in the report, companies attributed their optimism to new products, rising demand, and better conditions in Germany. (ICE VARSAVIA)
