NON-JORDANIAN OWNERSHIP IN ASE'S LISTED COMPANIES HITS 47.7%
Foreign investors purchased shares worth JD13 million on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) in February 2025, accounting for 11% of total trading volume, while their share sales amounted to JD13.3 million during the same period, according to ASE statistics.From the beginning of the year until the end of February, foreign investors bought shares worth JD36.3 million, representing 13.7% of total trading volume, while their sales reached JD31.8 million.Arab investors accounted for JD9.7 million, or 74.6% of total foreign purchases, while non-Arab foreign investors bought shares worth JD3.3 million, representing 25.4% of total foreign purchases. Meanwhile, Arab investors sold JD12.4 million worth of shares, making up 93% of total foreign sales, whereas non-Arab investors' sales stood at JD0.9 million, or 7% of total foreign sales.At the end of February 2025, foreign investors held a 47.7% stake in the total market capitalization of listed companies, with institutional investors comprising companies, funds, and institutions holding 33.4%. Arab investors' ownership stood at 31.9%, while non-Arab foreign investors accounted for 15.8% of total market capitalization.Sector-wise, foreign investors held 51.1% of the market capitalization in the financial sector, 22.6% in the services sector, and 52.9% in the industrial sector.
