Kazakh government will allocate 4.2 billion tenge from returned assets to modernize water supply infrastructure in south regionsMore than 4 billion tenge have been allocated for the construction and modernization of water supply infrastructure in the Kyzylorda region from the siphoned-off assets that had been returned to the republic, the press service of Kazakhstan’s government said in a Thursday press release.The allocated money will be used to finance the construction and modernization of water supply systems in the Aralsk district of the Kyzylorda region, including about 3.7 billion tenge to build a water supply system in the villages of Tokabay and Abay with a population of more than 3,000 people. A branch line from the Aralsk-Tokabay-Abay water main of the Aral-Sarybulak water supply system will be put into operation in 2025.In addition, 524 million tenge will be allocated to complete the construction of a branch line from the Kosman-Akbasty main of the Aral-Sarybulak water supply system to provide water to the residents of Akbasty village."The cost of the project is about 2.4 billion tenge, of which 1.8 billion tenge has already been spent. The remaining 524 million have been allocated from a special government fund. The facility is expected to be launched this year," the press release says. (ICE ALMATY)
