Record 19 mln sq.m of housing will be commissioned in Kazakhstan in 2025Kazakhstan plans to commission 19 million square meters of housing this year, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin said."This year we are going to commission 19 million square meters, which will be a best-ever achievement,” Zhumangarin said at a Tuesday meeting of the government.Minister of Industry and Construction Yersaiyn Nagaspayev added that the government was mulling over the allocation of 500.5 billion tenge through Baiterek to support the commissioning of the 19 million square meters of housing."In particular, 300 billion tenge [will be provided] for the purchase of 21,000 rental apartments, 120.6 billion tenge for the construction of utility infrastructure, 80 billion tenge for the financing of the 2-10-20 and 5-10-20 mortgage programs of Otbasy Bank," Nagaspayev said.According to the National Statistics Bureau, Kazakhstan built 18.963 million square meters of housing in 2024 or an increase of 6.4% compared with the previous year.
