Kazakhstan exported 5.8 mln tonnes of grain from 2024 harvestKazakhstan exported 5.8 million tonnes of grain from the 2024 harvest in September-February, the Ministry of Agriculture reported."According to NC KTZ JSC, 7.4 million tonnes of grain were transported in September-February 2024/2025, including 1.6 million tonnes within the country and 5.8 million tonnes for export. The growth in export volumes was 53%," the report said.According to the Ministry of Agriculture, 2.2 million tonnes were exported to Uzbekistan, which is 34% more than in the same period in 2023-2024, Tajikistan – 857,000 tonnes (an increase of 49%), Afghanistan – 248,000 tonnes (an increase of 36%).Deliveries to Iran increased 18-fold or 700,000 tonnes, to Azerbaijan – 90-fold or 363,000 tonnes.In January-February, 466,000 tonnes of flour were transported, of which 314,000 tonnes were exported.The department added that by the end of 2024, 10.6 million tonnes of grain were transported, including 2.5 million tonnes within the country and 8.1 million tonnes for export, 3.2 million tonnes of flour were transported, including 817,000 tonnes within Kazakhstan and 2.4 million tonnes for export with a growth of 3%.As reported, Kazakhstan harvested 26.7 million tonnes of grain in 2024. According to Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, the export potential is 12 million tonnes of grain. Of this, about 10 million tonnes are expected to be delivered to Kazakhstan's traditional markets -Central Asia, Afghanistan, Italy, and another 2 million tonnes of grain - to relatively new markets -Southeast Asia, a number of EU countries, Iran, North African countries, Azerbaijan.
