Gaz-System, one of the leading providers of natural gas transmission services in Europe, has submitted for a consultation the Ten-Year Transmission System Development Plan until 2035, according to which this year the company will transmit 20.7 billion cubic metres of gas, up from 16.9 billion transmitted last year, with the biggest volume of gas transmission expected in 2031, i.e. 27.2 billion cubic metres in the baseline scenario and 28.6 billion cubic metres in a scenario providing for a gradual increase in the number of gas recipients. As envisaged in the plan, the length of the transmission network is expected to reach 13,800 kilometres in 2035, increasing by ca. 700 kilometres in 2025-2027 and then by ca. 1,000 kilometres in 2028-2035.
