Car sales in Indonesia displayed a positive trend in February 2025. According to data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), wholesale car sales (factory to dealer) rose by 2.2% year-on-year to 72,295 units, compared to 70,772 units in February 2024. On a monthly basis, sales surged by 16.7% from January 2025, which recorded 61,932 units. In contrast, retail sales (dealer to consumer) experienced a slight 0.8% annual decline, dropping from 70,420 units in February 2024 to 69,872 units in February 2025. However, retail sales showed a 9.1% monthly growth compared to January 2025, when sales reached 64,029 units.
