47.1% OF JORDAN’S POPULATION ARE FEMALES, 52.9% MALES BY END OF 2024
At the end of 2024, the female population in Jordan reached 5.521 million, representing 47.1% of the total population, compared to 52.9% for males. This means that for every 100 females, there are 113 males, according to the General Statistics Report. In terms of age groups, the highest percentage of females is found in the 15-64 age group, making up 60.7% of the total female population, followed by females under 15 years old at 35.4%, and those aged 65 and above at 3.9%.
