The Central Statistical Office (GUS) has reported that in February 2025 a total of 27,915 new businesses were entered in the Business Registry Identification Number (REGON) register, which marks an 11.7% decrease on the preceding month, with the number of all businesses in the register in question reaching 5,319,900. The statistics also show that last month a total of 18,300 businesses were removed from the REGON register, which marks a 25.6% decline on January this year, with the number of civil law partnerships struck off the register down by 40.4% m/m and the number of commercial law companies struck off lower by 8.5% m/m.
