Kazakhstan-U.S. energy talks focus on long-term partnerships and ambitious projectsKazakhstan aims for long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with global energy leaders and is prepared to implement ambitious projects, stated Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliev.During strategic meetings in the U.S., the Kazakh delegation, led by Satkaliev, held a series of high-level talks with executives from major global energy companies, including Chevron, ExxonMobil, Shell, Eni, and Honeywell."Kazakhstan is establishing the necessary conditions to attract advanced technologies and investments into the energy sector. We are committed to long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with global industry leaders and are prepared to implement ambitious projects that will drive the sustainable development of our country and enhance global energy security," said Satkaliev, following the talks.Key discussions focused on current projects in Kazakhstan and the prospects for long-term partnerships. "Priorities included enhancing hydrocarbon extraction, accelerating gas processing capabilities, attracting investments in geological exploration, deploying advanced technologies, and developing renewable energy sources," according to the statement.Discussions with Chevron Corporation CEO Michael Wirth and ExxonMobil Senior Vice President John Whelan focused on key aspects of projects at Tengiz and Kashagan, including the Future Growth Project. "Oil production targets, aligned with global market stability efforts and Kazakhstan's international commitments, were also reviewed. The minister emphasized the importance of meeting deadlines and optimizing costs. The agenda also included opportunities for companies' involvement in new geological exploration initiatives," the statement noted.In meetings with Shell CEO Wael Sawan and Eni S.p.A. Chief Operating Officer Guido Brusco, special focus was placed on gas strategy. "Discussions centered on the construction of a new gas processing plant with a capacity of up to 4 billion cubic meters per year, designed to supply the domestic market and produce liquefied hydrocarbons," according to the Ministry of Energy's press service.Additionally, talks with Shell focused on collaboration in geological exploration and renewable energy projects, while Eni highlighted progress on a hybrid wind-solar power station in the Mangistau Region with a capacity of 120 MW.The delegation also visited Honeywell's technology center in Houston to explore opportunities for expanding cooperation.
