Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria underscored that innovation leaps in artificial intelligence (AI) technology can catalyze economic growth in Indonesia. Patria noted in a press release on Friday that AI is not only regarded as a technology product but also as a transformation catalyst to realize an eight-percent economic growth target set by President Prabowo Subianto. He noted that optimizing AI technology can boost productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness in various strategic sectors, such as e-commerce, health, finance, education, the creative economy, and environmental sustainability. The deputy minister affirmed that currently, the government has facilitated the development of digital infrastructure and talents to strengthen the AI development ecosystem in Indonesia.
