Transportation volume via TITR up 62% to 4.5 mln tonnes in 2024The volume of transport on the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) in 2024 increased by 62% compared to 2023, the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan reported."Kazakhstan continues to improve the logistics infrastructure and stimulate the use of the route by domestic exporters. In 2024, the volume of transport via TITR reached 4.5 million tonnes, an increase of 62% compared to 2023, and container transport increased by 170%, reaching 56,500 TEU," the report says.It is also reported that 35,600 TEUs were transported in the China-Europe direction, which is 27 times more than last year."The target for 2025 is 5.2 million tonnes, including 70,000 TEUs of container transport," Kazakhstan's Ministry of Transport said.The Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) is an international transport corridor running through China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia and on to Turkey and European countries.
