Kazakhstan intends to extend ban on exporting breeding stock of cattle, sheep, goatsKazakhstan intends to extend the ban on exporting breeding stock of cattle, sheep, and goats from its territory for six months, and the Agriculture Minister's corresponding draft order has been posted on the Open Regulatory Legal Acts website for public discussion."There is high demand for the breeding stock of cattle, sheep, and goats in neighboring countries. This incentivizes exporting livestock abroad in large quantities, which could negate all the state's efforts to develop its own livestock farming and processing livestock products," according to the explanatory note to the draft order.The document also provides statistics on positive growth in livestock in Kazakhstan.
