Kazakhstan to develop a concept for creative industries development in 2026-2030Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has instructed the concerned government agencies to prepare by the end of this year a concept for the development of creative industries in 2026-2030.Speaking at a government meeting on Tuesday, Bektenov emphasized the importance of fostering innovation and creativity in the economy.“The Ministries of Culture, National Economy, Finance and also the concerned government bodies must propose by the end of this year a concept for further development of creative industries in 2026-2030,” Bektenov said.In addition, the Ministry of Culture and Information, together with the other agencies, has been instructed to establish a Creative Industry Development Fund by July 1, 2024.“The primary objectives of the fund will be to attract investment, finance projects and promote the export of our creative products,” the prime minister added.Bektenov also ordered the administrations of the Akmola, Almaty, Zhetysu, West Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Karaganda, Kostanay and Pavlodar regions to set up creative hubs in the administrative centers of these regions by the end of the year.“These hubs should serve as effective platforms for interaction between representatives of the creative industries and investors that would finance the projects,” he said.Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva said at the meeting that Kazakhstan will establish a Creative Industry Development Fund, whose activities will span from idea generation to the delivery of finished products and services.
