INVESTMENT IN FOOD & BEVERAGE SECTOR REACHED IDR 110,57 T IN 2024
Throughout 2024, Indonesia's Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) observed significant growth in the food and beverage industry, driven by substantial investment realization. Deputy Minister of Industry Faisol Riza announced that the food and beverage sector's investment reached IDR 110.57 trillion, highlighting strong investor interest in the domestic market. This growth was emphasized during his speech at the opening of the 2025 Ramadan Bazaar in South Jakarta. Faisol underscored the strategic importance of the food and beverage industry in supporting Indonesia's economic growth. In 2024, the sector contributed 40.31% to the GDP of the non-oil and gas industry and 6.92% to the national GDP. These figures reflect the sector's vital role in the national economy. Additionally, the export value of the food and beverage industry was US$ 41.45 billion, while imports stood at US$ 17.08 billion, maintaining a positive trade balance. The positive trade balance of US$ 24.37 billion in 2024 further demonstrates the food and beverage industry's ongoing success.
