Singapore’s GK Hyperscale Ltd. to build two data centers in KazakhstanKazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has signed a resolution approving an agreement with Singapore’s GK Hyperscale Ltd. for the construction of hyperscale data centers (HDC), the press service of the Kazakh president said in a Tuesday statement.The data centers, with a combined IT capacity of 200 MW, will be built in the Akmola and Karaganda regions. The first phase is set to be commissioned in 2027, with full operational capacity to be reached by 2030.Investment in the project will total 690 billion tenge.“The establishment of such centers will enable Kazakhstan to attract international technology giants such as Microsoft, Google, and Amazon, as well as companies specializing in big data and machine learning,” the statement says.
