SINGAPORE SIGNS MOUS TO ADVANCE GEOSPATIAL TECH
The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has signed two memoranda of understanding (MOUs) to enhance geospatial capabilities and develop maritime talent. MPA signed a three-year MOU with Jurong Port, Singapore Cruise Centre, Esri Singapore, Hexagon, Nika, TCOMS, A*STAR IHPC, and NUS’s C4NGP to explore geospatial technologies for risk management and port operations. Geospatial tools leverage location-based data, including satellite imagery and sensor readings, to create 2D and 3D insights. These tools can also improve monitoring of sea level rise, strengthen preparedness, and enhance port operations' safety and efficiency. https://sbr.com.sg/shipping-marine/news/singapore-signs-mous-advance-geospatial-tech (ICE SINGAPORE)
