The Central Statistical Office (GUS) has reported that in October 2024, for which the latest statistics are available, the median gross wage and salary in the national economy was PLN6,856 gross, compared with the average wage and salary of PLN8,364 gross. The statistics presented by the GUS also show that women continue to earn less than men as the median wage and salary for women was ca. PLN329 lower than that for men. Finally, the statistics demonstrate that in terms of employees’ age, the highest median was recorded among employees aged 35-44, i.e. PLN7,160 gross. (ICE VARSAVIA)
