Kazakh President Tokayev vows to uphold open trade principlesKazakhstan remains committed to the principles of open trade and free movement of goods and services, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said Friday during a public meeting in Shymkent."Trade is the engine of progress that benefits not just individual nations but entire regions. Kazakhstan is situated at the crossroads of the East-West and North-South trade routes, which isn't only the geographic reality but also our historical mission. We must strategically leverage this destiny-given advantage. That is why, Kazakhstan actively participates in major international transport and logistics projects,” the president said."Our path is clear. We will continue strengthening comprehensive, mutually beneficial cooperation with neighboring nations bound to us by shared destiny. The people's interests remain paramount in guiding our balanced and stable foreign policy," Tokayev said.Reaffirming Kazakhstan's position as a responsible international partner, Tokayev stressed that the republic builds relationships with all partners on foundations of mutual trust, open dialogue and reciprocal consideration of interests."We maintain friendly relations with all neighboring states, giving this matter particular attention.
