Kazakh government to propose AI solutions for construction sector within a monthKazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has ordered relevant ministries to propose, within a month, AI solutions for the construction industry."Artificial intelligence [AI] in the construction industry should assist decision-making during the designing, urban development management and other stages [of construction projects]. The Ministry of Digital Development and the Ministry of Industry and Construction need to propose AI solutions for the construction industry within a month, including such parameters as building density, compliance with technical specifications and infrastructure development," Bektenov said at a Tuesday meeting of the government.He noted that businesses and citizens frequently complain about lengthy and non-transparent procedures for obtaining technical specifications to connect to utility networks.The existing approval process is opaque, excessively slow and highly vulnerable to corruption, the prime minister added.Bektenov ordered the Ministry of National Economy, together with other government agencies, to implement systemic measures ensuring that technical specifications are issued online through the urban development database."Global experience shows that digital solutions in the construction industry significantly reduce project timelines, cut costs and minimize corruption risks," he said.The prime minister mentioned that all existing construction databases will have been merged into a centralized online platform by the end of this year."To this end, all regional administrations must complete the digitization of all construction data, including utility diagrams and urban planning documents, by October 1,” he said.
