Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Giancarlo Giorgetti, Minister of Economy and Finance of the Italian Republic, as part of Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa’s visit to Italy, heading a Bahraini delegation to enhance economic and trade ties. The minister highlighted the strong historical ties and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Italian Republic. He emphasised the continued commitment to developing these relations across various domains and the importance of building on existing cooperation to expand joint coordination and achieve broader benefits for both countries and their peoples. The two sides reviewed areas of economic and investment cooperation between Bahrain and Italy and discussed the progress of bilateral relations. They also exchanged views on financial, economic, and investment topics of mutual interest, as well as recent developments in the global economy. The meeting was attended by Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board; Khalid bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain; and Osama Abdullah Al Absi, Ambassador of Bahrain to Italy.
