Sharjah Airport welcomed 4.5 million passengers in Q1 2025, marking an 8% increase in air traffic compared to the same period last year. The airport handled over 27,000 aircraft movements, 52,000 tonnes of cargo, and an additional 3,000 tonnes via sea-air cargo. Private aviation saw significant growth, with a 26.4% rise in aircraft movements and a 20% increase in private passenger traffic. Sharjah Airport Authority Chairman Ali Salim Al Midfa credited the growth to strategic initiatives, ongoing expansions, and a focus on operational efficiency.
