Consolidating cooperation to define interventions and projects dedicated to climate change, nutrition, management of natural resources, protection of biodiversity and promotion of the energy transition in areas of the world with high potential for socio-economic development. This is the objective of the two memoranda of understanding signed in Milan by the President of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Giovanni Gorno Tempini, and the Director for International Development Cooperation, Paolo Lombardo, with the main public and private partners in the Asia-Pacific area. The agreements were signed during the works of the 58th edition of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). In detail, an agreement was signed with the Asian Development Bank by the President of CDP Gorno Tempini and the Vice President of ADB Roberta Casali to define the methods of co-financing initiatives of common interest in partner countries with the aim of combating climate change, promoting sustainability in food systems and in the management of natural resources, promoting the protection of biodiversity and the blue economy and reducing social inequalities. Interventions in other sectors will also be assessed, such as regional cooperation and integration, social development, financial and entrepreneurial inclusion, the contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in addition to the mobilization of private sector financing. A second memorandum of understanding was signed by the Director for International Development Cooperation of CDP, Paolo Lombardo, and by Maya Rani Puspita, Executive Vice President Corporate Finance of PT PLN (Persero), the national electricity company of Indonesia.
