Kazakhstan exported 7.6 mln tonnes of grain in 2024-2025Kazakhstan exported 7.6 million tonnes of grain from its 2024 harvest between September 2024 and April 2025, which is a 58% increase compared to the same period a year earlier, the Agriculture Ministry said.In the reporting period, the republic exported 2.7 million tonnes of grain to Uzbekistan (up 29.7% year over year), 1.1 million tonnes to Tajikistan (up 51%), 270,000 tonnes to Afghanistan (up 34%), 181,000 tonnes to Kyrgyzstan (up 100%), 889,000 tonnes to Iran (16.4 times as much), 569,000 tonnes to Azerbaijan (113.8 times as much).In 2024 Kazakhstan harvested over 26 million tonnes of grain. The Ministry of Traded estimated the country's grain export potential at around 12 million tonnes. (ICE ALMATY)
