ADVANCED NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN FOR TROJENA SKI VILLAGE

The negotiations between Neom and prospective bidders for the multibillion-riyal main construction works on the Trojena Ski Village project have reached an advanced stage.  Neom had requested a new round of offers after issuing an addendum in early January. The firms are expected to submit their revised proposals based on the new addendum on 8 May. The Ski Village is a superstructure comprising five zones, from the ground floor to the roof. It is designed to mimic a ski slope and align with the mountain. The village will also include hotels, residences and retail facilities. Designed by Hong Kong-based architecture firm Aedas, Trojena Ski Village will be the Middle East’s first outdoor ski resort. The project is scheduled to open in 2026 and will host the Asian Winter Games in 2029. Trojena started the concrete works on the Ski Village last year when it awarded an estimated $205m contract to deliver the concrete works for the Ski Village project. The contract was awarded to the joint venture of local firms Abdulmohsen Altamimi Group and Batco. In March last year,  Riyadh-based contractor Albawani and Malaysia’s Eversendai Corporation had started the steel fabrication works for the Trojena Ski Village assets in Neom. Trojena will host the Asian Winter Games in 2029 and the construction works have been planned to meet that deadline. Launched by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Al-Saud, Trojena is set to be a year-round tourist destination. It will include a ski village, family and wellness resorts, retail outlets, food and beverage facilities and sports amenities such as watersports and mountain biking. An interactive nature reserve is also planned.   For registration as a supplier: https://www.neom.com/en-us/our-business/suppliers (ICE RIYADH)
