INDONESIA PRODUCES BIODIESEL, PRABOWO: ENERGY SELF-SUFFICIENCY WITHIN 5 YEARS
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto announced that Indonesia aims to achieve energy self-sufficiency within the next five years, primarily through large-scale production of biodiesel derived from palm oil. Highlighting palm oil as a national asset and global commodity, he emphasized its potential to replace imported fuel, which currently costs Indonesia up to US$40 billion annually. With around 65–67 derivative products, palm oil stands at the center of this strategic energy shift. Prabowo reiterated his administration's commitment to reducing dependency on foreign fuel by harnessing domestic resources, stating that Indonesia has the capability to produce its own fuel entirely from palm oil. This vision was shared during a public address broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat.Source: https://finance.detik.com/energi/d-7902707/ri-produksi-biodiesel-prabowo-5-tahun-lagi-swasembada-energi (ICE GIACARTA)
