Kazakhstan reports 99% readiness of agricultural machinery for sowing operationsKazakhstan’s agricultural machinery is 99% ready for the spring planting season, Agriculture Minister Aidarbek Saparov said Tuesday."Agricultural producers have today available 139,000 tractors, about 5,600 high-performance seeders, 71,000 planters and 141,000 soil tillage tools. Regional reports indicate machinery readiness at approximately 99%," Saparov said at a Tuesday meeting of the government.The country’s demand for seeds this spring is 2.3 million tonnes, of which 99% has been inspected, meeting first- and second-class quality standards.According to data provided by regional administrations, farmers have secured contracts for 991,000 tonnes of fertilizers, with 841,000 tonnes already delivered, the minister said.
