ENVIRONMENT MINISTRY, VINGROUP COOPERATE TO IMPROVE URBAN AIR QUALITY

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE) and VinGroup have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on urban air quality management, green growth, and sustainable transportation. The partnership aims to monitor and improve air quality through the installation of automatic monitoring stations and sensors, supported by VinGroup’s AI and digital technologies for data analysis, emission forecasting, and environmental management.The two sides will also promote green transportation by researching and developing mechanisms for vehicle electrification. VinGroup plans to build green urban areas and monitor emissions from construction activities. Additionally, they will cooperate on greenhouse gas reduction, carbon credit creation, and development of a carbon market by integrating air pollution and emissions inventories.Deputy Minister Lê Công Thành emphasized the urgent need for coordinated actions to combat urban air pollution. VinGroup Vice Chairwoman Lê Thị Thuy Thuỷ reaffirmed the company’s commitment to leading Vietnam’s transition toward a sustainable, low-emission future. (ICE HO CHI MINH CITY)
