On May 22, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính and Eric Trump attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Trump International Hưng Yên project—a $1.5 billion eco-tourism and golf resort spanning nearly 1,000 hectares in Hưng Yên Province. This first Trump-branded development in Vietnam includes a 54-hole VIP golf course, luxury villas, and a modern urban complex. The project, a partnership between Trump Organization and Kinh Bắc’s Hưng Yên Company, aims to boost tourism, economic growth, and serve as a symbol of the deepening Việt Nam–US strategic partnership. The Prime Minister emphasized the project's alignment with the country’s investment and diplomatic goals, encouraging swift completion by 2027 to coincide with Vietnam’s hosting of APEC. Eric Trump praised Vietnam’s market potential and affirmed the investors’ commitment to making the resort a world-class destination.
