Vietnamese mangoes averaged $700/tonne, far below Thailand and Peru’s $6,000–$11,000 range, while proximity to China ensured lower logistics costs and fresher fruit. Popular varieties like cát Hòa Lộc and cát Chu gained traction for both fresh consumption and processing.
