Vietnam is rapidly advancing its 5G infrastructure, aiming for nationwide coverage by 2030. As of May 2025, 11,591 5G base transceiver stations (BTS) have been installed, reaching 26% of the population. Telecom giants like Viettel and VNPT plan to deploy 20,000 stations each, while MobiFone targets 10,000 to cover all communes. The 5G network's density is set to rise from 7.72% to 57.5% of 4G levels by year-end.
