TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – The jobless rate declined to 3.32% in April, its lowest level for the month in 25 years, the government said Thursday.The figure marked a drop of 0.03% from March, the Liberty Times reported. If adjusted for seasonal factors, the rate for April stood at 3.36%, the same as in March.The Directorate General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics described the jobs market as stable, with no impact noticeable from the US tariffs. It is expected the unemployment rate will decline further in May, the government department said.The number of people out of work in April declined by 4,000 to 399,000, with the number of first-time jobseekers falling by 2,000.
