Cars from China are flooding Europe. High tariffs on e-cars from the Middle Kingdom, with which the European Commission wanted to protect the EU manufacturers since last autumn, have not helped. According to the consulting firm JATO Dynamics, in April 2025 the sales of passenger cars from Chinese brands increased by 121 percent across the EU compared to the same month last year, to 53,300 cars, with a trace growth of 0.1 percent in the overall market. Chinese automotive boom is also gaining momentum in Poland. In the first four months of 2025, car sales from China rose more than seven times year-on-year to nearly 10.3 thousand from 1.4 thousand a year ago. (ICE VARSAVIA)
