INDONESIA GOVT BUILDS 47,758 KMS OF ELECTRICITY TRANSMISSION
The Indonesian government aims to build 47,758 circuit kilometers of electricity transmission lines by 2034, with an investment of IDR 565.3 trillion, as outlined in the 2025–2034 Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL). The largest expansion will be in Java-Madura-Bali, followed by Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and eastern regions. In line with projected 8% economic growth, the government also targets 69.5 GW of new power generation, with 76% from renewables and storage. This includes 42.6 GW from renewables—mainly solar, hydro, and wind—and 10.3 GW from gas and 6.3 GW from coal. The rollout will occur in two phases: 27.9 GW in the first five years and 41.6 GW in the next.#Source: https://industri.kontan.co.id/news/bidik-investasi-rp-565-triliun-pemerintah-bangun-transmisi-listrik-47758-kms (ICE GIACARTA)
