INDONESIA URGES GLOBAL MARITIME COLLABORATION THROUGH IMW 2025
The Ministry of Transportation is using Indonesia Maritime Week (IMW) 2025 as a platform to call for stronger global maritime collaboration, framing the event as a strategic forum for exchanging ideas, forging partnerships, and advancing a sustainable maritime future. At the opening ceremony, Secretary General Antoni Arif Priadi encouraged international stakeholders to use IMW 2025 to build cooperative efforts and foster mutual learning that supports innovation and inclusivity in the maritime sector. The forum also highlights key priorities such as expanding job opportunities for youth and skilled workers, addressing gender equality, and developing adaptive global logistics to meet the challenges of globalization. With these initiatives, Indonesia aims to position itself as a reliable and inclusive maritime hub contributing to global trade stability and sustainable development goals.
