Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Italy rose 24% in 2024 to $20 bln - TokayevTrade turnover Kazakhstan and Italy grew by 24% in 2024, reaching $20 billion, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said Thursday during talks in Astana with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni."We highly value the Italian government's commitment under your leadership to strengthening relations with Kazakhstan - not only in trade and investment but also in enhancing interparliamentary ties and humanitarian cooperation. Your visit greatly contributes to further development of our partnership," Tokayev said.The president noted that the two nations have built close political dialogue and also develop economic cooperation, cultural and humanitarian ties.Italy has invested $7.6 billion in Kazakhstan's economy over the past two decades, with about 270 Italian companies currently operating in the republic. Major investors include ENI, SDF Group, PetroValves, Maire Tecnimont and Ballestra. (ICE ALMATY)
