Kazakh National Fund may sell $800 mln in June to make transfers to government budgetThe National Bank of Kazakhstan is going to sell between $700 million and $800 million from the National Fund in June to finance budget transfers, the regulator said in a Monday press release."According to preliminary government requests for budget transfers, the National Bank anticipates foreign currency sales from the National Fund in the amount of $700 million to $800 million in June," the press release says.In May, the National Fund sold $988 million in foreign exchange to ensure transfers to the government budget. These sales accounted for 22% of total trading volume, averaging approximately $52 million per day.Additionally, about $356 million in foreign currency was sold last month by the quasi-public sector in compliance with regulatory requirements.The National Bank did not conduct any currency interventions in May of this year.
