State-owned upstream operator Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has tendered a contract to construct crude oil pipelines and associated works.KOC has set a bid deadline of 26 August 2025, and a pre-tender meeting is scheduled for 6 July 2025.Kuwait is in the midst of a drive to increase upstream oil and gas production.In January 2024, Khaled Al-Sabah, the chief executive of the national oil company Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), unveiled a $30bn investment plan to boost the country’s oil production capacity by 40%.The target is to increase output from 2.8 million barrels a day (b/d) to 4 million b/d by 2040.
